The "Famous E Electric Piano" is a sample library with all the beautiful sounds from the original "E" vintage piano often
referred to as "the HOLY GRAIL" among electric pianos. The owner of that piano, George Mamalakis, and I have been
sampling the sounds of the "E" for many years and finally the program is available via our business partner Greg Schlaepfer of
Orange Tree Samples.

Apart from doing many interviews and trying to get the NEVE console repaired (so many modules must be fixed) to be able to work on
the mixes of JaR 2 - CODE, Jay has been very busy these past months, making videos,
compiling material for an upcoming documentary movie (or TV series) as well as for his autobiography, and his upcoming
YouTube educational channel, so Santa won't be able to bring you JaR 2 this Christmas, but maybe a few

AIRPLAY FOR THE PLANET - Remastered at 96k is available as a digital download at Bandcamp and
and since we were getting so many requests for a physical CD of this remaster, and
since the 2002 version of the physical album has sold out, we decided to make the 2017 remaster available as a physical CD as well.
So, this remaster is derived from a source with more enhancement and with new artwork, and slightly new liner notes.

Please note that all but two tracks were recorded on a modified MCI 24 track analog recorder. I used the analog mix files to start with. The first
CD version released in Japan
used the analogue mix files and recorded to 44.1k 16 bit digital for CD. The mastering was fair at best.
The next release in 2002 used the digital files and I tweaked EQ as to make sound better using the ADAT EQ, which does not allow automating the EQ.

First of all, please note, it seems iTunes and maybe other digital services as well, have listed 2 different bands with the same
name - JaR - (with different spellings) in their database and blended all songs for downloading, as being released by one and the
same band. So please make sure you are actually downloading the correct titles! Our song titles are all correctly noted on our own websites.
Back to the song:
Randy and I have been writing songs together for many years. We wrote and demoed the song - SOMETIMES YOU WIN - during the era of the
Alesis ADAT's. When I record demos, most of the time I record the songs as masters, which is what happened in this case. At the time, we
wrote and recorded as to pitch songs for other recording artists.
When mixing the song, I was reminded of the midi instruments we used at the time and dug the fact the sounds are good!
The Japan/Scandinavia Tours 1994 and 1996 with documentary bonus material. A
Region Free 4 DVD box set, having a few flashbacks from the 1994 and 1996 actual concert footage, a fun and informational band reunion hang at Garden Rake
Studios 20 years later, filmed by

Kerstin worked so many hours on the video editing, etc.! I did my best as to make the audio sound as good as possible.
During all of the work, every time I have watched to check edits, etc., the humor in the documentary is still funny. I'm glad the video from my 40th
surprise birthday party has survived as you will hear jamming with Luke, Sherwood Ball, Jim Cox, Ralph Humphrey, Sterling Ball, and me. Sterling
Ball headed up roasting me and some very funny stuff. It's so cool to see the late Tommy Tedesco roasting me and the stories we get into. David Foster
is involved in the roast as well as some of the other guys.
Note the bowling segment is kind of a joke so skip over it if you are not into bowling.
I finally did a full explanation of the Peg guitar solo for the guitarists that care to learn the solo.
When I hear the music from the concerts in Japan and Sweden I am reminded of how well everyone played! In the documentary we note how the guys learned
their parts and the idea I came up with as the way to rehearse the songs. All of the original parts and vocals that were recorded on the Airplay For
The Planet CD were played on the concerts hence the reason for 9 musicians and singers. I could have used less musicians but I really wanted to not leave
any parts out or cheating with using pre-recorded tape.
The bottom line is if you are into West Coast Pop and want to hear stories about how all of this went down, some really funny humor, get insight to the
guys in the band and how relationships formed from then on, I think you will enjoy the near 4 hours of video. - Jay
